We got a good deal on some wood, according to the guy we bought it from, it is supposed to be 5 cords. It was in Caldwell, so Darin borrowed Andy's truck and made about 7 trips with a uhaul trailer to pick it up. Then the next day we started in on chopping it with a splitter we got from Home Depot. The hydraulic hose broke on it about an hour into the job, so I had to take it back and get another one. We ran that splitter from 10-6 with about a 30 minute break and didn't get all the wood split! We were so bushed though and ready for it to be over. I guess we'll store the extra rounds we didn't get split until next season. Our neighbor next door came over and informed us that "we weren't going to need that much" and Darin's reply was, "but it was a good deal!" The deals we get ourselves into! The kids were kinda on autopilot during the day and did pretty well. I kept praying that God would be supervising them and protecting them.

This makes me laugh, cuz you are always saying that Jesus might come tomorrow and you don't want to have excess of stuff. : ) But then Darin is alway saying, "But it was a great deal!" hahaha!
